YellowWood was founded in 1993, by Brian Lipton. Established from within the CPA firm of Bornstein, Redler & Lipton, YellowWood helped clients with questions raised about investments and planning. Over the years YellowWood evolved into a wealth management firm while Brian transitioned his attention and took the company independent.
Throughout YellowWood's growth over the years, its mission has always stayed the same: to place client's interests first, and to bring the level of service, discipline and advocacy of a Certified Public Accountant to this investment advisor. We like to use the phrase, "Vision of a planner and the discipline of a CPA," to capture the idea that investment advice is a service, and not a product, and that our values and structure allow us to focus on the client.
In 2008, Andrew Goodman joined YellowWood as a Principal and Director of Equity Investing. He spent seventeen years as the founder and President of Falcon Capital Management, Inc. Andrew served his clients as a value equity investor and he brought with him the same ideas on client service and attentiveness.
