YellowWood was founded in 1993, by Brian Lipton. Established from within the CPA firm of Bornstein, Redler & Lipton, YellowWood helped clients with questions raised about investments and planning. Over the years YellowWood evolved into a wealth management firm while Brian transitioned his attention and took the company independent.
Throughout YellowWood's growth over the years, its mission has always stayed the same: to place client's interests first, and to bring the level of service, discipline and advocacy of a Certified Public Accountant to this investment advisor. We like to use the phrase, "Vision of a planner and the discipline of a CPA," to capture the idea that investment advice is a service, and not a product, and that our values and structure allow us to focus on the client.
In early 2008, Andrew Goodman joined YellowWood as a Principal and Director of Equity Investing. Prior to merging his practice with YellowWood, he spent seventeen years as the founder and President of Falcon Capital Management, Inc. Andrew served his clients as a value equity investor and he brought with him the same ideas on client service and attentiveness.
