Brian is President of YellowWood Financial Advisors, Inc., and is responsible for the development and implementation of investment policies and strategy for client portfolios, as well as the strategic direction of the investment advisory and planning practices of the firm.
Brian started his career as a Certified Public Accountant, with Arthur Andersen and later joined a local firm in Rockville, Maryland. Brian served as a Partner at Bornstein Redler and Lipton PA for over 15 years, concentrating on taxes, planning, and business consulting services for a client base of business owners and professionals. Later, he merged into the national CPA firm, BDO Seidman, LLP, serving as a tax partner.
During the early 90’s, while practicing as a CPA, Brian shifted his focus to financial advisory services. He became certified as a financial planner (CFP®) and founded YellowWood in 1993.

In addition to being a CFP®, Brian is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®).
Under Brian’s direction, YellowWood was named as one of the nation’s top wealth managers, by Wealth Manager Magazine in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009.
